Abstrak

Dysmenorrhea is a menstrual disorder that is often experienced by women throughout their period menstruation.
Normal primary Dysmenorrhea, it runs just before menstruation until Menstruation day one or three, this is the most common type
and is experienced by 50%. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of hot compresses on Primary dysmenorrhea pain
intensity, The research method is descriptive. The location of the research is at Sultan Rabiah Sumber Mulyo Junior High School,
North Labuhanbatu Regency. The population in this study were all young female students of class IX SMP Sultan Rabiah Sumber
Mulyo, North Labuhanbatu Regency as many as 30 respondents. The sample in this study is total sampling, that is, all members of
the population are sampled in the study. The types of data obtained are in the form of primary and secondary data, then the
collected data is processed by editing, coding, scoring, tabulating steps.concluded that with the therapy of giving hot compresses
can reduce and relieve pain during menstruation (dysmenorrhea).
